Leipsic rallies for key BVC win

MCCOMB - Leipsic had watched McComb battle back to take a 40-36 lead with just over three minutes left in their Blanchard Valley Conference football game Friday night.The Vikings took advantage of the time on the clock to drive the field and score as Leipsic rallied for a 44-40 win over the Panthers. Leipsic moves to 7-2 on the season and solidifies a spot in the Division VI playoffs. The Vikings were fourth in the Division IV, Region 24 poll this week.
Leipsic had a 16-13 halftime lead on the Panthers, but saw McComb rally to go up 33-22 late in the third quarter on a touchdown pass by Clay Grubb to Clay Dysert. The Vikings rallied for a 36-33 lead in the fourth quarter before the Panthers rallied to go up 40-36 with 3:01 left.
No other details of the game were available.
ARCADIA - Pandora-Gilboa kept alive their playoff hopes Friday night with a 60-0 whitewashing of Arcadia in Blanchard Valley Conference action.
The Rockets moved to 6-3 on the season. P-G was ranked 11th in the Division IV, Region 24 poll this week.
P-G scored early in the game and never stopped in rolling by the Redskins.
Columbus Grove 28
CONVOY - Crestview overcame a halftime deficit Friday night to defeat Columbus Grove 41-28 in Northwest Conference action.
The Bulldogs had a 28-21 lead at halftime before the Knights used a strong third quarter to over the lead and go on for the win. The win allows the Knights to grab a share of the NWC lead after Ada rallied late to knock off Delphos Jefferson. All three teams have one conference loss, although the Bulldogs finished their league slate Friday night.
