Leipsic wins fifth game of season

BASCOM -A pair of one loss teams hooked up Saturday night as Leipsic and Hopewell-Loudon squared off in non-league action.This contest belonged to the Vikings as they jumped out to a quick lead in handing the Chieftains a 68-38 non-league setback.
Leipsic took control of this contest early as they grabbed a 16-9 lead after the first quarter and led 37-18 at the half.
Zach Kuhlman bit four three-pointers as he led the Vikings (5-1) with a game high 20 points and he had six steals. Devin Mangas added 14 points and six assists and Austin Brown had a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds, six offensive. Josh Gerten finished with 10 points.
Alec Gregg had 19 points for the Chieftains (5-2).

Fort Jennings 57
FORT JENNINGS - Lima Perry built a 20 point halftime lead, but needed to hold off a hard charging Fort Jennings team Saturday night to post a 67-57 non-league win.
The Commodores built a 44-24 halftime lead after outscoring the Musketeers 24-9 in the second quarter. Fort Jennings turned the game around in the third quarter with a 20-6 scoring margin before Perry ended the Musketeers comeback hopes with a 17-13 fourth quarter scoring margin.
J. Poling led the Commodores with a game high 27 points as he had six three-pointers in the game. Hodges added 21 points and Luster finished with 10 points.
Brandon Kohli led the Musketeers (1-7) with 20 points and he grabbed 10 rebounds. Kurt Warnecke finished with 12 points and Connor Wallenhorst had 10 points and six assists.

Miller City 53
MILLER CITY - Wayne Trace overcame an early deficit Saturday night to defeat Miller City 72-53 in non-league action.
The Raiders trailed 20-17 after the opening quarter, but turned the game around in the second quarter with a 19-9 scoring run for a 36-39 halftime lead. A 19-7 run by the Raiders in the third quarter helped them build their lead.
Corbin Linder led Wayne Trace with 19 points, while Dalton Sinn and Ryan Kortokrax added 13 points.
Austin Lammers led the Wildcats (4-2) with 14 points and Ross Kaufman finished with 12 points. Russell Niese finished with 10 points.
Adam Drummelsmith pulled down six rebounds for Miller City along with three steals and three assists.
