Miller City bangs out 18 hits in win

MILLER CITY - Miller City didn't score in their first at-bat Monday afternoon.
When the hits started to fall in the second inning, the Wildcats didn't stop as they banged out 16 of them in a 15-1 Putnam County League win over Fort Jennings. The game was played at Miller City due to wet field conditions at Fort Jennings.
The Musketeers took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first after the Wildcats (2-0, 5-2) were unable to score in the top of the first. Miller City came right back in the second inning to score five runs, then came back with four runs in the third inning to break the game open.
Jackson Lammers (2-0) picked up the win for the Wildcats as he went the distance allowing one run on four hits with six strikeouts and three walks.
Adam Drummelsmith had a home run and single for the Wildcats and Ross Lehman had a home run. Ross Kaufman banged out three singles, Jared Fuka had two singles and a double, Logan Dukes had a sngle and double and Adam Niese two singles.
Kurt Warnecke took the loss for Ft. Jennings as he went two plus innings allowing seven runs on seven hits.

GLANDORF - Drew Schierloh and Tyler Zender paced Ottawa-Glandorf's offense Monday as the Titans topped Wayne Trace 9-2 in non-league action.
Schierloh blasted a pair of home runs, a solo shot in the second and a two run blast in the fifth, while Zender had three doubles and three RBI. Brad Croy added a single and double and Matt Warnecke had a double for O-G (6-1).
O-G scored two runs each in the first two innings and scored four times in the fifth.
Warnecke (3-0) picked up the win for the Titans.
Blaucmone took the loss for the Raiders. Dingus had three singles for Wayne Trace.
