Miller City boys bounce back with win

MILLER CITY - After a tough loss to Kalida Friday night, Miller City bounced back Saturday night to defeat Arlington 53-48 in non-league action.The Wildcats (15-5) jumped out to a 12-6 first quarter lead and were up 25-17 at the half. Miller City maintained that eight point lead after three quarters before holding on for the win.
Austin Lammers paced the Wildcats with 16 points and Ross Kaufman finished with nine points. Adam Drummelsmith and Ross Vennekotter both had eight rebounds for Miller City.
Jordan Freed hit six three-pointers to lead Arlington with 18 points. Michael Blunk had 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Red Devils.
STRYKER - Continental jumped out to a first quarter lead on their way to a 45-31 non-league win over Stryker Saturday night.
The Pirates (6-12) grabbed a 16-5 first quarter lead and expanded that with an 11-5 run in the third quarter before the Panthers posted a 19-11 fourth quarter scoring run.
Chaz Slattman had 19 points and nine rebounds for the Pirates. Dalton Bradford added eight points.
