HAMLER — Miller City scored a run in the top of the seventh to defeat Patrick Henry 2-1 in the season opener for both teams.
With the game tied 1-1, Jared Fuka's slow roller to second base allowed Jackson Lammers to score from third base with the winning run.
Lammers came on in the bottom of the sevent to set the Patriots down in order to record a save. Ross Lehman picked up the win for the Wildcats as he worked six innings.
Miller City took the lead in the first inning on an RBI double by Fuka. Patrick Henry tied the game in the fifth on an RBI double by Josh Peterson.
Logan Zeigler took the loss for Patrick Henry in relief. Peterson started and worked five innings for the Patriots.

BRYAN — Ottawa-Glandorf was limited to just two hits in dropping a season opening 1-0 non-league decision to Bryan Monday afternoon.

Golden Bear starting pitcher was tough on Titan hitters as he yielded just two hits while striking out 13 O-G batters. He did issue two walks in recording the win.

Bryan scored the only run they needed in the bottom of the third inning.

Jordan Bostater had a single and double for the Golden Bears.

Tanner Schimmoeler took the loss for O-G as he worked five innings allowing one run on three hits with a strikeout and four walks. Matt Warnecke worked in relief for the Titans.

ELIDA — Elida pushed across a pair of single runs Monday afternoon to defeat Fort Jenninsg 2-0 in non-league action.

The Bulldogs scored a run in the third inning and one in the fifth.

Max Stambaugh picked up the win for Elida as he went the distance not allowing a run on four hits with 10 strikeouts and three walks. Adam Purdy had a single and double for the Bulldogs (1-0).

Ryan Rau took the loss for the Musketeers as he allowed two runs on eight hits with four strikeouts and a walk. Rau had two singles for the Musketeers and Mark Metzger had a double.

HAVILAND — Wayne Trace used a big second inning to defeat Continental 6-5 in their non-league season opener Monday.

Trailing 1-0 after one inning, the Raiders scored six times in the second inning, then held on for the win. Continental battled back scoring once in the third inning, twice in the fifth and once in the seventh to come up short.

Aaron Stoller picked up the win for the Raiders as he went five innings with seven strikeouts and three walks. He allowed three runs on five hits. Jerome Blaine and Colby Spiece worked in relief.

Marcus McVay and Noah Stoller both had a hit for the Raiders. Stoller had two RBI for the Raiders.

Terry Dockery III took the loss for the Pirates. Dockery had a double and triple in the game with two runs scored and Gabe Williams had a single, a double and two RBI. Austin Mansfield had a single and RBI for the Pirates (o-1).

KALIDA — Ross Thompson threw five innings of one hit baseball Monday afternoon to power Delphos Jefferson to an 8-0 season opening win over Kalida.
Thompson went five innings not allowing a run on one hit with three strikeouts. Jordan Herron worked two innings in relief for Jefferson.
Jefferson scored five times in the fifth to break the game open. Austin Jettinghoff had a home run in the inning.
Jettinghoff had three RBI in the win and Ryan Bullinger had two hits and an RBI.
Austin Swift took the loss for Kalida. Trent Gerding and Randy Zeller worked in relief.
Noah Lambert had two hits for Kalida.
