Miller City girls get first win

MILLER CITY - Miller City outscored Lima Central Catholic in overtime Wednesday night to claim a 62-57 non-league win.The win moves the Wildcats record to 1-9, while LCC is 4-6.
Miller City used a strong second half to rally for the win. The Wildcats trailed 31-23 at halftime before outscoring the T-Birds 13-8 in the third quarter and 19-10 in the fourth quarter to force overtime. In overtime, the Wildcats outscored LCC 7-2 for the win.
Melissa Michel led the Wildcats with 28 points and nine rebounds. Haley Lammers had a double-double for Miller City with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Cassilyn Niese chipped in with 12 points.
Meredith Shepherd, Sydney Mohler and Kayla Verhoff all had 13 points for LCC. Shepherd pulled down 11 rebounds for the T-Birds and Mohler grabbed seven missed shots.
