Miller City moves to 5-0 in PCL

PANDORA - Miller City used a big sixth inning to help secure an 11-6 Putbam County League win over Pandora-Gilboa Friday night.
The win moves the Wildcats to 5-0 in the league with PCL games left against Ottoville (Tuesday) and Columbus Grove (Wednesday). Miller City is 10-4 overall.
Miller City had a 6-3 lead going to the sixth when they exploded for the five runs. The Rockets made things interesting with three runs in the bottom of the seventh.
Ross Kaufman (3-1) picked up the win for Miller City as he went 6 1/3 innings allowing six runs on 14 hits with three strikeouts. Jackson Lammers finished the game.
Logan Dukes and Ross Lehman both had a double and two singles for Miller City and Lammers had a double and single. Adam Drummelsmith and Adam Niese both had two singles.
Jacob Basinger took the loss for the Rockets.
Reed Hovest had two doubles and a single and Basinger a double and two singles. Jared Tousley had a double and single. TJ Koepplinger had two singles for P-G (2-3, 5-8).

GLANDORF - Ottawa-Glandorf scored a run in the sixth inning to claim a 2-1 Western Buckeye League win over Elida Friday night.
After Elida scored a run in the fourth inning to tie the game, the Titans (2-4, 9-4) scored in the sixth inning to win the game.
Tanner Schimmoeller (1-0) picked up the win as he allowed an unearned run on three hits.
Tyler Zender had a doule and triple for the Titans, while Cody Bockrath had two singles and Jaylen Von Sossan a double.

CONTINENTAL - Ayersville picked up a non-league win over Continental by the score of 5-2 Friday evening.
The Pilots scored single runs in the third, fifth and seventh innings, while both teams scored two runs in the sixth inning.
Luke Sullivan took the loss for the Pirates.
Zach Schwarzman had two singles and three stolen bases for the Pirates, while Tyler Dockery had a single and double.
