MILLER CITY - Melissa Michel hit a free throw midway through the opening quarter to score her 1,000 career point.


Michel didn't stop there as she had another big game for the Wildcats as they held off Paulding 51-47 in non-league action.

Michel needed three points entering the game to reach 1,000 points and did that with 4:37 left in the first quarter when she hit a free throw. Michel finished the game with 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Miller City (3-15) used a 16-7 run in the second quarter to take a 28-21 halftime lead then withstood a second half challenge by Paulding (4-12).

Brandi Gerschutz added 17 points to the Miller City win.

Brooke Combs had 15 points for Paulding.

FORT JENNINGS - Ayersville held Fort Jennings to two points in the first quarter on their way to a 54-26 non-league win Tuesday night.

The Pilots had an 8-2 lead after one quarter used a 19-4 run in the third quarter to put the game away.

MeganSchubert led the Pilots (10-7) with 15 points and Emily Cromer had 12 points. Brittney Addington finished with 11 points.

Macy Schroeder and Gabbi German both had six points for the Musketeers (7-12).

OTTAWA - Ottawa-Glandorf used a big second quarter Tuesday night to defeat Napoleon 49-38 in non-league action.

The Titans (12-6) had a 12-10 lead after one quarter before outscoring the Wildcats 16-2 in the second quarter.

Kristen Miller led the Titans with 14 points, while Elissa Ellerbrock had nine points and eight rebounds.
