GLANDORF - Ottawa-Glandorf's girls soccer team scored three second half goals Monday evening to forge a 4-4 tie with Swanton in the season opener for both teams.


The Bulldogs had a 4-1 halftime lead on the Titans before O-G scored the only goals of the second half. Courtney Maag, Danielle Schroeder and Elissa Ellerbrock scored the Titans second half goals. Ellerbrock tied the match at 4-4 when she scored with 6:32 left to play.

Maag scored the Titans only goal of the first half.

Morgan Dickman had two goals for the Bulldogs in the opening half, while Emily Callicotte and Maicie Wheeler scored the other two goals. Wheeler also had an assist for Swanton.

Michelle Maag, Ashley Siefker and Erin Basinger all had an assist for O-G.

O-G outshot Swanton 14-6 for the game. Megan Hoehn had seven saves in goal for the Titans and Jenna Carr had 10 saves for the Bulldogs.

O-G defeated Lima Senior in a junior varsity match 10-0.

FORT JENNINGS - Wapakoneta scored three second half goals Monday afternoon to defeat Fort Jennings 3-0 in the season opener for the Musketeers.

After a scoreless first half, Kylee Duhman scored for the Redskins with 38:43 left in the contest. Mackenzie Custer and Britanat Pequignot scored goals late in the half for the Redskins.

Wapakoneta (2-0) outshot the Musketeers 5-2 for the game. Erin osting had two saves for the Musketeers and Mikayla Halfhill had two saves for the Redskins.
