OTTAWA - Ottawa-Glandorf's offense had trouble getting anything going against Elida's defense Friday night. But given a second opportunity late in the fourth quarter the Titans were able to take advantage and pull out a 14-13 Western Buckeye League win over the Bulldogs.
When Elida's punter mishandled a snap and the Titan defense tackled him on the Elida 16, the Titans needed just two plays to score as Caleb Siefker hit Alex Westrick with a 16 yard scoring pass. The Titans then went for two points and Siefker hit Josh Buckland with the two-point conversion pass giving O-G the lead with 42 seconds left.
The win moved O-G to 6-0 in the WBL and 7-0 overall.
Leipsic remained undefeated Friday night as they whipped Arcadia 41-0. The Vikings are 6-0 in the Blanchard Valley Conference and 7-0 overall.
Pandora-Gilboa climbed above the .500 mark for the season as they held off Van Buren for a 21-14 BVC win. The Rockets are 4-3 on the season and 4-2 in the BVC.
Columbus Grove moved to 4-3 on the season as they surprised Delphos Jefferson 7-6 in Northwest Conference action. The Bulldogs are 2-3 in conference action.
