O-G tops Miller City in softball action

MILLER CITY - Ottawa-Glandorf had the bats out early as the Titans topped Miller City 14-1 in non-league softball action.
The Titans (4-0) scored three times in the first inning and added four runs in the second inning. Miller City scored their lone run in the fourth inning.
Megan Kitchen picked up the win for O-G as she allowed one run on five hits with seven strikeouts and a walk.
Kitchen had four hits and three RBI in the game and Michelle Sdao had four hits and an RBI. Kristen Miller had two singles and three RBI and Kelley Selhorst hadtwo singles, a double and an RBI.
Kylee Ricker took the loss for Miller City as she allowed 14 runs on 18 hits.
Liz Schimmoeller had a single and RBI and Jessica Vennekotter had two singles for the Wildcats (1-4).

CONTINENTAL - Tinora scored a run in the seventh inning to defeat Continental 11-10 in non-league softball action.
The Pirates (4-2) scored three times in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game at 10-10 before the Rams won it in the seventh. Continental was up 7-6 before the Rams scored twice in both of the fifth and sixth innings.
A. Cereghin picked up the win for the Rams as she went the distance allowing 10 runs on 12 hits. A.Mack had two triples and four RBI for the Rams and T. Fairchild had a double, triple and three RBI.
Emma Recker took the loss for Continental as she went three innings allowing five runs on seven hits. Leva Weller worked four innings allowing six runs on nine hits.
McKenna Scott had a single, double, home run and three RBI, Taylor Williamson had two singles, a home run and two RBI and Weller a single, double, two triples and three RBI.
