An OHSAA approved softball umpiring course is being offered by the Fifth District Umpires Ass'n. The OHSAA certified instructor will be Ned Ewers.


The only procedure available for a beginning umpire in softball to obtain an OHSAA permit is to complete an OHSAA approved softball umpire course.
Adults and any high school student (14 years of age or older) are eligible for the class.
[- A participant 18 years of age and no longer enrolled in high school will attain a Class 2 Permit and will be eligible to umpire all levels of contests through high school varsity.
- A high school student will attain a Class 3 permit and may umpire Freshman/Junior High/Middle School games, (no JV or varsity.)]

Mon 4/1/13 5:30-8:15 PM Four County Career Center-MLC (Post class wrap-up session)

Class fees will be $110.00. [Covers all classroom materials, texts & registration fees with OHSAA.]

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT is be completed online with OHSAA prior to the first class.
