BOWLING GREEN - Ottawa-Glandorf held a furious fourth quarter charge by Lima Central Catholic Wednesday night to claim a 60-52 win in the Division III regional semi-finals at the Stroh Center in Bowling Green.
The win advances the Titans (23-3) to the regional finals Saturday night where the will face Bloom Carroll at 7:30 p.m. at the Stroh Center. LCC saw its season end at 23-3. Bloom Carroll (26-1) defeated Huron in the first game Wednesday night 62-54 to advance
The Titans took a 15 point lead to the fourth quarter and were up 15 points when the T-Birds went on a 9-0 run to make it a six point game at 44-38. A free throw by O-G's Matthew Kaufman pushed the lead back to seven before LCC's Tre'on Johnson hit a three-pointer making it a four point game. It was still a four point game before TJ Metzger went 2-of-4 at the free throw line that pushed the lead to six points.
A three point play by Darius West cut the O-G lead to three points before O-G went on a 7-2 run to end the game. Noah Bramlage hit a pair of free throws for the Titans before Metzger went hard to the basket for two points. After a pair of Metzger free throws, Caleb Siefker hit a free throw for the Titans final point. Xavier Simpson hit two free throws for LCC to close out the game.
Metzger led the Titans with 23 points, while Siefker had a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Michael Rosebrock added six points and grabbed nine rebounds.
Johnson led the T-Birds with 26 points. West pulled down eight rebounds for the T-Birds.
