Ottawa-Glandorf rolls by Shawnee

OTTAWA - Ottawa-Glandorf went on a 12-0 run in the opening quarter Friday night as the Titans rolled by Shawnee 72-51 in Western Buckeye League action.O-G is now 2-0 in the WBL and 7-1 overall. Shawnee is 0-2 in the league.
Shawnee scored the first points of the game as Thomas Nolte hit a basket. The Titans scored the next 12 points that started with a TJ Metzger basket before Caleb Siefker scored. Putbacks by Noah Bramlage and Michael Rosebrock made the score 8-2 before Alex Westrick came in and score four straight points that pushed the O-G lead to 12-2. The Titans ended the first quarter with a 17-9 lead and they extended that to 39-18 at the half with a 22-9 run in the second quarter.
Shawnee outscored the Titans 21-16 in the third quarter as they came within 13 points of O-G at 45-32 on two free throws by Jay Thomas. O-G ended the third quarter with a 10-7 run as Bramlage had six of the points, including a three point play. Metzger and Jake Leopold both had two points. Trey Brock ended the third quarter scoring with a three-pointer.
Rosebrock had a double-double for the Titans with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Metzger finished with 15 points, as he had three three-pointers, while Bramlage had 12 points and nine rebounds.
O-G had a 39-24 rebounding edge in the game.
Brock led the Indians with 16 points and Jason O'Neil had 10 points.
Ottawa-Glandorf won the junior varsity game 61-39.
The Titans are back in action Saturday night as they host Bluffton in a non-league game.
