OTTAWA - Ottawa-Glandorf's defense turned in a solid first half performance Friday night that helped carry the Titans to a 55-37 Western Buckeye League win over Wapakoneta.

The win moves the third ranked Titans to 5-0 in the WBL and 13-1 overall.
As both teams looked to limit each teams top offensive threats in the game, the Titans overall defense stood out as they held the Redskins to 12 first half points in building a 25-12 halftime lead. O-G allowed the Redskins seven points in the first quarter, then allowed Wapakoneta just five points in the second quarter in building their lead.
The Redskins took a 2-0 lead before the Titans used an 11-0 run to take the lead for good. Caleb Siefker had a pair of three-pointers in the run and TJ Metzger one and he also had a nice behind the back assist pass to Matthew Kaufman for a layup after a Redskin turnover that gave O-G an 11-2 lead.
Wapakoneta scored the final five points of the opening quarter, but O-G regained control of the game in the second quarter with an 8-0 run as Michael Rosebrock had four points and Siefker added a two-point basket. Alex Westrick finished off the run.
Wapakoneta was held scoreless until there was 2:30 left in the second quarter when Travis Bertram scored five straight points for the Redskins. A Siefker three-pointer, a free throw by Jaylen Von Sossan and two by Metzger ended the first half scoring.
Metzger led the Titans with 17 points as he had three three-pointers. Siefker, with three three-pointers, and Rosebrock both had 12 points.
Metzger had eight rebounds for the Titans.
Bertram led the Redskins and all scorers with 22 points, the majority of them coming in the second half.
O-G won the junior varsity game 47-22.
