NAPOLEON - Ottawa-Glandorf pulled away from Tinora in the second half Saturday night to claim a 56-34 win in the Division III district championship game at Napoleon High School.
The Titans (22-4) advance to the Division III regional tournament to face Lima Central Catholic (23-2) Wednesday night at the Stroh Center at Bowling Green State University. Game time will be 8 p.m. O-G defeated LCC in the regional finals last year for a trip to state, but dropped a 51-48 to the T-Birds back in December this season.
The T-Birds earned a ticket to the regional tournament with a 66-60 win over Spencerville Saturday night.
O-G trailed 22-21 at halftime before pulling away for the win in the second half. The Titans took the lead in the third quarter with a 21-10 scoring run for a 42-32 lead after three quarters. The Titans kept their foot on the gas in the fourth quarter using a 14-2 run to end the game.
Tinora (20-6) didn't make a field goal in the final quarter as their only points came on two free throws on their first possession of the second half. The Rams did not hit a field goal in the final 12 minutes of the game.
Michael Rosebrock led the Titans with a game high 22 points and Noah Bramlage added 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds. TJ Metzger also had eight rebounds for the Titans.
Robert Wuo had 12 points to lead Tinora.
