Ottawa Hills wins Kalida Invitational

OTTAWA - Ottawa Hills had three golfers right around par Wednesday as they ran away from the field at the 2013 Kalida High School Golf Invitational at Country Acres.The Green Bears easily won the team title as they shot a 292 to defeat second place Arlington by 21 shots. The Red Devils finished second with a 313 team score and Bath was third with a 318.
Kalida led the local golf squads shooting a 350 team score. Otatwa-Glandorf finished with a 363, Ottoville had a 373 and Fort Jennings had a 422.
Ottawa Hills Ben Silverman was the medalist for the invitational shooting a two under par round of 70. Teammate Ben Dayton had a 71 and Michael Denner a one over par round of 73.
Ottawa-Glandorf's Carson Williams had the low round for the area golfers shooting a 77.

Miller City 177
OTTAWA - Miller City finished in the middle of a three team match at Pike Run Wednesday.
Patrick Henry won the match with a 175 team score, while the Wildcats were next at 177. Holgate was third with a 193.
Patrick Henry's Jared nelson was the match medalist with a 39.
Austin Lammers and JAred Fuka led the Wildcats (2-2) with 41s, while Liz Schimmoeller had a 47. Cody Sheets and Jacob Schimmoeller both had a 48 and David Lammers a 49.
Jarrod Stober and Jake Grim led Holgate with 44s.
Kalida was led by Brady Mathew and Trent Siebeneck with rounds of 87.
Wesley Markward had an 82 for Ottoville.
