OTTAWA - Ottawa's American Legion baseball team fell to Pemberville Friday evening 13-7 in a six inning game at Memorial Field.
Pemberville scored three runs in each of their first three at-bats to build a 9-1 lead. Ottawa was trailing 10-1 going to the bottom of the fifth when they scored five times to get back into the game.
Pemberville came back with three runs in the sixth and Ottawa scored once in the bottom of the sixth for the final score. The game was called by darkness at that point.
Drew Schierloh took the loss for Post 63. Brady Laudick and Ryan Rau worked in relief.
Tanner Schimmoeller had a pair of doubles for Ottawa in the loss.
Post 63 is back in action Sunday as they host Piqua in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
