PEMBERVILLE - Ottawa's American Legion baseball team pounded out 16 hits as they pounded Pemberville 15-7 in baseball action Tuesday night.

Ottawa moved to 3-2 on the season with the win.
Ottawa out hit Pemberville 16-8 in the game as they were led by Matt Jay with four hits and four RBIs and Trent Phillips with four hits and an RBI. Cody Bockrath had two hits and three RBI and Jaylen Von Sossan had two hits and an RBI.
Bockrath slammed a home run in the game and Von Sossan had a double.
Besides the 16 hits Ottawa banged out Tuesday evening, they also worked 14 walks in the game.
Tanner Schimmoeller (2-0) worked seven innings to get the win as he allowed seven runs on six hits with seven strikeouts. Matt Warnecke recorded the save as he didn't allow a run on two hits with three strikeouts.
Rodesky took the loss for Pemberville. Coffield had a home run for Pemberville and Herringshaw two doubles and three RBIs. Coffield and Wolfe both had two RBIs in the setback.
The Ottawa Legion is back in action tonight as they host Maumee at Memorial Park.
