BLUFFTON - Ottoville and Kalida took care of business Saturday night to advance to district tournament action from the Division IV sectional at Bluffton.

In the opening game Saturday night, top ranked Ottoville jumped out to a quick lead and never looked back in handing Columbus Grove a 69-33 setback in the Division IV sectional finals. In the second game, Kalida avenged a regular season loss to Continental as they posted a 49-39 win.
The Big Green (23-0) advance to Division IV district tournament at Lima Senior Thursday night to face Lincolnview at 8 p.m. The first game Thursday night has Kalida facing Crestview at 6:15 p.m.
In the opening game Saturday night, the Big Green had a 25-5 lead after the first quarter and were up 41-10 at halftime after a 16-5 scoring run in the second quarter.
Abby Siefker scored 15 points in the first half as she led the Big Green with 17 points. Rachel Turnwald and Taylor Mangas both had 14 points and Rachel Beining finished with 12 points. Siefker pulled down eight rebounds for the Big Green and Nicole Vorst had five assists.
Sydney McCluer led the Bulldogs with eight points.
In the second game, Kalida avenged a loss to Continental to end the regular season as they posted a 49-39 win. No further details of the game were available.
