OTTOVILLE — Ottoville used a big second quarter scoring advantage Tuesday evening to defeat Wayne Trace 53-42 in non-league action.

After both teams scored 12 points in the opening quarter, the Lady Green took a 10 point lead into halftime after outscoring the Raiders 17-7. Kasey Knippen, with a three-pointer, scored five points in the quarter for Ottoville and Quinley Schlagbaum added four points.

The two teams played nearly even the second half as Ottoville (9-0) outscored the Raiders 24-23.

Bridget Landin led a balanced Lady Green attack with 15 points as she scored nine points in the fourth quarter, which included a pair of three point plays. Haley Hoersten added eight points, while Schlagbaum and Knippen both had seven points.

Claire Sinn had 15 points to lead Wayne Trace (5-2) and Brooke Sinn finished with 13 points.

Ottoville won the junior varsity game 42-34.
