ELIDA - Ottoville head coach Dave Kleman couldn't have asked for a better way to win his 400th career game Saturday night.
Kleman picked up his 400th career coaching win as his Lady Green defeated Arcadia 52-37 in the Division IV regional finals at the Elida Fieldhouse. The top ranked and unbeaten (27-0) Big Green advance to the Division IV state semi-finals next Friday to face Fort Loramie at 3 p.m. It will be the fifth time Kleman has taken a team to the state tournament.
Ottoville started strong Saturday night outscoring Arcadia 18-10 in the first quarter behind four three-pointers. The Redskins (23-4) trimmed the Big Green lead to five points at the half before Ottoville used scoring advantages in the third and fourth quarters to seal the win.
Ottoville outscored Arcadia 13-9 in the third quarter and 14-8 in the fourth quarter for the win.
Rachel Turnwald scored 16 points to lead the Big Green as she hit 9-of-10 free throws. Rachel Being added 11 points, while Abby Siefker and Nicole Vorst both had nine points.
Miranda Palmer led the Redskins with 19 points.
