OTTOVILLE - The first Ohio High School girls basketball poll was released Monday evening and a familar name is a top the polls.
As the first poll was released Monday evening Ottoville was selected as the number one team in Division IV by the Associated Press voters.
The Big Green (10-0) garnered five first place votes and 122 total points. Newark Catholic is the second ranked team, while Patrick enry (10-0) is the fifth ranked team with two first place votes and 77 points.
Continental (9-1) is ranked 11th in the first poll.
The Big Green and Pirates are scheduled to play a Putnam County League game Thursday night in Ottoville.
