Ottoville win Tee Off Classic

DELPHOS - Ottoville's golf team may not have had one of their best days on the golf course, but it was good enough to capture a third straight Tee Off Classic title at the Delphos Country Club.
The Big Green captured their third straight title as they shot a 349 at Delphos. Delphos Jefferson finished second with a 412 followed by Delphos St. John's with a 428 and Fort Jennings with a 430.
Wesley Markward paced the Big Green attack with a three over par round of 74 for medalist honors. Luke Schimmoeller and Matt Turnwald both finished an 87 for Ottoville and Brendon Schnipke had a 101. Ryan Kemper was the fifth score for the Big Green with a 123.
Carter Mox led the Jefferson with a 100, while Ryan Bullinger and Zach Wannemacher both had a 106. Tyler Rice finished with a 107.
TJ Hoersten led St. John's with a 94. Brandon Slate and Austin Lucas both had a 108 and Steve Leathers a 118.
Nate German paced the Fort Jennings attack with a 94. Sam Vetter and Austin Lucas both had a 111 and Ryan Rau had a 114. Collin Wieging finished with a 118 and Nick Von Sossan had a 124.
Rob Contini Invitational
LIMA - Kalida's golf team finished seventh Monday at the Rob Contini Invitational at Hawthorne Hills in Lima.
The Wildcats finished seventh after shooting a season best 331 team score in the 11 team invitational. Bath won the team title, after a scorecard playoff, with Liberty-Benton and Arlington. All three teams finished with a 307 before the deadlock was broken by each teams fifth man score.
Zach Erhart led Kalida with a 78.
Bath was led by Evan Hall with a 73 and Spencer Stubbs with a 75.
Wellington's Justin Perdue was the medalist with a 70. Liberty-Benton's Jared Neiling and Arlington's Dexter Wilson also shot 70's in the invitational.
DEFIANCE - Ottawa-Glandorf finished 11th at the Defiance Boys golf invitational the the Eagle Rock Golf Course Monday.
The Titans finished 11th as they shot a 390 in their season opening tournament. Wauseon won the tournament shooting a 316, while Napoleon was second at 327 and Van Wert was third with a 342.
Carson Williams led the Titans with an 87, while Eric Parys had a 93. Drew Schierloh shot a 104 and Andrew Krukowshi had a 106. Sammy Gable had a 107 for the Titans.
Trevor Dominique led Wauseon to the team title with a round of 73 for medalist honors. David Williams followed with a 77, Clay Tefft an 80 and Brady Rupp an 86.
Austin Peppers had the second low round of the day for Napoleon with a 74. Evan Nartker had an 80 for the Wildcats.
