PANDORA - Pandora-Gilboa scored every time they touched the ball in the opening half Friday night as the Rockets crushed Cory-Rawson 58-0 in Blanchard Valley Conference action.The Rockets (1-0, 2-0) had a 52-0 halftime lead before adding just one score in the second half.
P-G took the opening kickoff and drove down the field using 10 plays for a quick 6-0 lead. That would be the Rockets longest drive of the first half as Jacob Basinger ended it hauling in a four yard scoring pass from Seth Schmenk.
The second time the Rockets had the ball they needed just three plays to reach the endzone as Schmenk and Alex Osborn hooked up on a 65 yard pass play to open the drive. A seven yard pass to Hunter Hovest gave P-G a 12-0 lead.
On their next two drives the Rockets used big plays to increase its lead. A 60 yard run by Schmenk made it 20-0 before Schmenk hooked up with Hunter Hovest on a 59 yard pass play for a score.
Schmenk added scoring runs of 10 and 16 yards to increase their lead before Schmenk hit Osborn with a 50 yard scoring strike. Hunter Hovest scored on a 70 yard punt return that had the Rockets up 52-0 at the break.
The Rockets defense help set up two of P-G's first half scores with interceptions.

HARROD -Columbus Grove ran 30 more plays than Allen East did Friday night.
In the end the Mustangs made the most of their limited opportunities as they defeated the Bulldogs 32-22 in the Northwest Conference opener for both teams.
The Bulldogs (0-2) ran 69 plays Friday night to 39 for the Mustangs (2-0). It was the big play that helped the Mustangs as they had three scoring plays of 45 yards or longer.
Allen East opened their scoring when Tanner Stippich hit Matt Shuey with a 79 yard scoring strike. Tyler Friesner added a 47 yard run and Ross Stewart hauled in a 72 yard scoring pass from Stippich.
Stewart also scored on a three yard run and Alfred Conyers had an eight yard scoring run.
The Bulldogs' Alec Gladwell opened the scoring on a four yard run in the second quarter, while Riley Brubaker added a two yard scoring run in the third quarter and Mason Smith caught a three yard scoring pass in the fourth quarter.
Joey Warnecke helped pace the Bulldog offense with 156 yards on 30 carries, while Brubaker was 12-of-21 passing with a score and interception. Smith caught six passes for 69 yards.
Stippich was 4-of-4 passing for the Mustangs for 165 yards and two scores. Stewart had 106 yards rushing and Friesner 92 yards. Shuey caught two passes for 77 yards.
Allen East outgunned the Bulldogs 386-320 for the game.
