COLUMBUS - The OHSAA state track and field meet gets underway Friday morning at the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus. Putnam County will be well represented at the annual meet as athletes from six schools qualified for the meet.
Athletes from Columbus Grove, Continental, Fort Jennings, Leipsic, Ottawa-Glandorf and Ottoville will be competing either as individuals or members of relay teams. The Division III state meet starts at 9:30 a.m. today and the Division II (O-G) semi-finals start at 2 p.m. The Division III field events start at 1 p.m. today, followed by another set at 4 p.m., and the Division II field events that local athletes qualified in are Saturday morning at 9 a.m.
