CONTINENTAL — Continental jumped out to a huge lead early Friday night as the Pirates toppled Waynesfield-Goshen 65-30 in non-league action.

On Homecoming night at Continental, the Pirates grabbed a 22-2 first quarter lead and never looked back in posting the win. The Pirates were up 30-10 at halftime and 47-20 at halftime.

Austin Mansfield led the Pirates (5-10) with 13 points and Zach Schwarzman had 11 points as 12 Continental players scored in the game. Jacob Williams had eight rebounds for Continental.

Continental won the junior varsity game 33-28.

Columbus Grove 64

Allen East 42

HARROD — Columbus Grove came out firing Friday night as the Bulldogs picked up a 64-42 Northwest Conference win over Allen East.

The Bulldogs grabbed a 23-5 first quarter lead as they hit seven three-pointers in the opening eight minutes of the contest. Columbus Grove finished with nine three-pointers in the game as Will Vorheees and Jace Darbyshire both had three in the game.

Columbus Grove added to its lead with a 14-9 second quarter scoring margin.

Vorhees led the Bulldogs with 23 points, while Darbyshire added 15. Baily CLement finished with 11 points as he had two three-pointers.

Matt Shuey and Spencer Miller led the Mustangs with 12 points each.

Pandora-Gilboa 63

Vanlue 61

VANUE — Pandora-Gilboa outlasted Vanlue in the second overtime Friday night to post a 63-61 Blanchard Valley Conference win.

The Wildcats had the lead late in the second overtime before a Rocket player canned a three-pointer from halfcourt at the buzzer for the win. The two teams were tied 43-43 after regulation.

ARLINGTON — Arlington protected their homecourt Friday night by beating Leipsic 62-42 in Blanchard Valley Conference action.
