KALIDA — Kalida’s Owen Recker turned in another strong performance on
the mound Monday as the Wildcats topped Continental 4-1 in Putnam
County League action.
After throwing a one hitter last Thursday at
Fort Jennings, Recker was dominant on the mound as he not only threw
another one hitter, but struck out 19 Continental batters in moving to
3-2 on the season. The one run he gave up was unearned. He did walked
two Pirate batters in the game.
Continental scored its lone run in the fourth inning as they took a 1-0 lead on a Jacob Williams single.

times for the win. Jeffrey Knueve had an RBI single in the inning for
the Wildcats (3-0, 6-5) and Josh Klausing plated a run with an RBI
groundout. Owen Recker forced home a run with a bases loaded walk and
the final run scored on a wild pitch.
Kevin Hamburg had two singles for the Wildcats and Derek Buss had a double.
Dockery took the loss for Continental (0-3, 1-6) as he went the
distance allowing four runs, two earned, on four hits. He had four
strikeouts and walked four.

— Ottawa-Glandorf broke up a pitchers duel with Miller City Monday
evening with a five run sixth inning on their way to a 5-2 non-league

sixth when O-G finally got to Stechschulte for five runs.

Balash had two hits and an RBI and Logan Balbaugh had two hits for the Titans (11-2).

earned, on eight hits with two strikeouts and four walks. Jacob
Schimmoeller worked two-thirds of an inning in relief.

ANTWERP — Fort Jennings used the big inning to defeat Antwerp 20-6 in non-league action Monday.
Musketeers scored four runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings
before pushing across nine runs in the seventh inning. The Archers
responded with three runs in the bottom of the seventh.
Austin Luebrecht picked up the win for Ft. Jennings as he worked four rinnings allowing two runs on three hits.
Wehri went 4 for 5 for the Musketeers with five runs batted in and he
scored four times. Aaron Sealts had two hits and drove in three runs,
Sam Vetter had two hits and drove in two runs and Logan Hardeman had a
double and plated two runs. Derek Luersman drove in three runs in the
game and Connor Stechschulte had a double and an RBI.
Keaton Altimus took the loss for the Archers.

Walther had two singles, a double and plated three runs. Gunner Stall
had two singles, a double and drove in two, while Josh Shartell had two
hits and drove in two runs. Drew Johnson had a triple for P-G and
Huffman a double.

Dylan Schroeder had three hits for the Vikings (4-1, 7-4), while Jordan
Berger and Grant Rader both had a single and double.
