A handful of Putnam County track and field athletes have punched their ticket to regional action next week. Tonight and Saturday more track athletes will attempt to do the same.
Tonight and Saturday will be a busy time for local track athletes as they take part in four different district meets in an attempt to advance to regional action.
Tonight, the Ottawa-Glandorf boys and girls track teams will be in action at Fostoria attempting to advance to next weeks Division II regional action at Lexington. The Titans nabbed a couple of regional bids in the opening rounds Tuesday and Wednesday and will be looking to add to that as the district finals will be contested.
On Saturday, Division III track athletes will be in action in meets at Liberty-Benton, Spencerville and Continental. Those meets get underday Saturday morning as athletes look to advance to track regionals in Tiffin and Piqua next week.
