The Titans (13-6) advanced to state with an exciting 5-4 win over Wauseon Monday in the ACME district tournament at Patrick Henry. O-G went all three district games they played defeating Napoleon 14-7, Wauseon 12-11 and getting by the Indians again on Monday.
Crestview advanced to the state ACME tournament with a 3-2 win over Minster Monday evening. After getting knocked into the losers bracket of their district tournament down at St. Henry, the Knights earned the right to compete at state by rallying twice in the bottom of the seventh to record wins that kept their summer alive. Sunday afternoon they rallied in the bottom of the seventh to score three times and defeat St. Henry 3-2.
They lost to Coldwater in the ACME district finals, but Coldwater already had a spot in the state tournament as they are the host school. The Knights were a state qualifier this past spring in Division IV.
Admission prices for the state tournament are $4 for adults and $2 for students.
