Titans drop first WBL volleyball match

DEFIANCE - Ottawa-Glandorf's volleyball team suffered their first Western Buckeye League loss Thursday evening as they dropped a wild, five set contest to Defiance 22-25, 25-21, 25-27, 25-22, 15-9.The Titans dropped to 3-1 in the WBL and 8-4 overall.
Niki Ellerbrock and Olivia Hermiller both had 12 kills for the Titans and Kylie White added 11 kills. Kayla Leatherman served up five aces, while Madison Stechschulte had 24 assists and AShley Stechsculte came up with 40 digs.
O-G won the junior varsity contest 25-23, 25-21 and the freshman contest 25-13, 25-23.
Columbus Grove 3
PAULDING - Columbus Grove remained undefeated in the Northwest Conference Thursday evening with a 25-9, 25-18, 25-9 win over Paulding.
The Bulldogs are 4-0 in the NWC and 10-2 overall.
Miller City 0
MILLER CITY - Ottoville picked up their first Putnam County League win of the season Thursday as they defeated Miller City 25-20, 25-13, 25-11.
Ottoville is 1-2 in the PCL and 4-5 overall and the Wildcats are 0-3 and 1-12.
Annie Lindeman was 13-of-16 hitting with 19 kills and Lexie Thorbahn was 38-of-39 setting with 18 assists. Kara Schimmoeller was 22-of-23 serving with eight aces.
Amanda Schroeder was 13-of-14 serving for the Wildcats with three aces, four kills and 11 digs. Kylle Ricker was 31-of-32 setting with five assists and nine digs, Janke vanWezel was 17-of-18 hitting with six kills and eight digs, while Jana Schroeder had 11 digs and Chloe Ruck six digs and three assists.
CONTINENTAL - Continental dropped a non-league volleyball match to Ayersville Thursday 25-8, 25-8, 25-15.
