OTTAWA - Ottawa-Glandorf scored the final seven points of the game as they downed Defiance 43-35 in Western Buckeye League action at the Robert J. Hermiller Gymnasium Friday night.
O-G is now 3-0 in the league and 9-1 overall.
O-G took a 36-31 lead to the fourth quarter, but saw the Bulldogs pull within 36-35 on a three-pointer by sophomore Katwan Singleton. That was the only field goal Defiance hit in the fourth quarter as they were 1-of-15 shooting as they missed their final nine shots in the quarter.
Matt Kaufman pushed the O-G lead back to three points when he grabbed an offensive rebound and scored. The Titans then hit 5-of-6 free throws in the final 67 seconds as Noah Bramlage dropped in a pair and TJ Metzger was 3-of-4 at the line.
Bramlage was the only Titan player in double digits Friday night as he had 11 points, including a three-pointer at the buzzer to end the second quarter to give the Titans a 24-22 halftime lead. Kaufman and Metzger both had eight points for O-G. Michael Rosebrock grabbed eight rebounds for O-G.
Singleton had 15 points to lead the Bulldogs and Jordan Tobias had 11 points.
O-G is back in action Saturday night as they host Findlay in a non-league matchup.
