LEIPSIC - Ottawa-Glandorf survived a late second half surge by Leipsic to hang on for a 63-49 non-league win before a packed house at Leipsic Saturday night.Coming off a disappointing loss to St. Marys Friday night, the Titans (16-3) had a 16 point lead midway through the third quarter at 43-27. That's when the Vikings offense finally started to click and made a run at O-G.
Leipsic used a 15-4 run to close out the third quarter to trail 47-42 after 24 minutes of action.
The fourth quarter saw O-G expand its lead back to nine points at 53-44 before the Vikings made another run at the Titans. Leipsic went on a 9-2 run that had them within 55-53 with 1:51 left on a three-pointer by Zach Kuhlman.
The Titans expanded their lead back out to 60-53 on a Michael Rosebrock layup to complete a 5-0 run. Leipsic didn't go away quietly as a Devin Mangas three-pointer made it a four point game and after two free throws by O-G's Noah Bramlage pushed the lead back out to six, another Mangas three-pointer cut the O-G lead in half. A free throw by Rosebrock with 2.8 seconds sealed the O-G win.
Noah Bramlage and TJ Metzger led the O-G attack with 16 points each, while Rosebrock had 14 points and Caleb Siefker 10 points.
Mangas led the Vikings with 25 points and Aric Schroeder had 14 points.
