FINDLAY - Will it be an offensive showcase? Or a defensive battle?
That will be the question that Ottawa-Glandorf and Genoa answer tonight as they square off in a Division IV, Region 14 regional semi-final contest at Findlay's Donnell Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. for these two 11-0 teams.
The Comets come into the contest averaging over 50 points a game this season, while O-G is averaging 46.3 points a game. The two squads defenses are just as good as O-G is yielding 11.7 ppg and the Comets 11.5 ppg.
Both teams are similar in their offensive attacks as they both like to run the ball as Kyle Nutter leads the Comet ground game, while Tristan Parker and Caleb Siefker have combined to lead the Titans ground game. Both Parker and Siefker are over 1,000 yards this season. Nutter has rushed for 2,000 yards this season.
This will be the third meeting between the two teams as they met in 2008 in the regional finals at Bowling Green State University and in 2010 at Genoa. The Comets are 2-0 in the series.
The winner of this contest advances to the Region 14 regional finals the following week against either Columbus Bishop Hartley or Richwood North Union.
