KALIDA - Pioneer Days in Kalida has held a craft show on the Saturday of Pioneer for many years and this show will continue this year with 52 vendors exhibiting. The date for this year's show is Sept 7. While the traditional Saturday Craft Show continues, this year, Pioneer Days will be offering an additional craft show to be known as "CRAFTS ON THE SQUARE". This will be a three day show , held during Pioneer Days in Kalida on Sept. 6, 7 and 8. "CRAFTS ON THE SQUARE" will be held in a separate tent which will be right off the town square. This is less than a block from the Putnam County Historical Society Museum on Main Street in Kalida.
In addition, on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 12-3 there will be special vendor demonstrations held at the "CRAFTS ON THE SQUARE" tent.
Hours for the three day "Crafts on the Square" craft show are: Friday, Sept. 6, 5-10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Hours for the traditional Saturday Craft Show are 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Pioneer Days, now its 141st year, is always held the weekend after Labor Day in Kalida. The festival is held on the square of downtown Kalida, as well as the surrounding streets. The dates for this year's festival are Sept. 5, 6, 7 and 8. The festival is jointly sponsored by the Kalida Lions and Kalida Firefighters.
