Elementary teachers awarded gift cards
OTTAWA - Walmart has helped 10 teachers at Ottawa Elementary to purchase much-needed classroom supplies as part of its Teacher Rewards program. Nationally, Walmart and Sam's Club locations are awarding more than 45,000 educators with $100, infusing $4.5 million to schools across America.

Leipsic to host 3 on 3 tournament
LEIPSIC Joe Velasquez would like to host a 3 on 3 basketball tournament during the Leipsic Fall Festival.

Velasquez addressed village council Tuesday night in the hopes of giving back to the community. He would like to do this by organizing a basketball tournament during the Fall Festival on September 18th.

School report cards excellent
PUTNAM COUNTY - The Ohio Department of Education released its yearly state report cards last Friday. This year, three local school districts received a lower designation than last year. Only one local school district received a higher designation than last year.
