Titans roll over Eastwood
Kahle, Kuhlman led the way

FINDLAY - Ottawa-Glandorf scored on their first possession and never stopped as the Titans rolled over Pemberville Eastwood 48-3 in a Division IV, Region 14 regional semi-final game at Findlay's Donnell Stadium.

The win sends O-G (10-2) into a regional final game next Saturday against Orrville. The site of next Saturday's game will be announced by the OHSAA Sunday afternoon. Orrville held on to defeat Genoa 36-35 in the other Division IV, Region 14 game.

After the Titan defense forced Eastwood to punt after three plays, O-G needed just three plays to reach the endzone as junior quarterback called his own number running 44 yards to the endzone for a quick 7-0 lead three and a half minutes into the contest.

The score was just a hint of things to come as O-G scored on all of their first half possessions. Pemberville ran more plays than the Titans did in the opening half, but O-G was more efficient with their drives running over and around the Eagle defense at will.

After a second Eagle punt, the Titans had their longest, in terms of plays, drive needing five plays to reach the endzone as Brandon Kuhlman took an option pitch from Kahle and raced down the sideline 35 yards to the endzone.

O-G's defense set up the next score as they sacked Eagle quarterback Clayton Ruch forcing a fumble. Waytt Karhoff picked up the fumble and returned it to the Pemberville six. From there O-G needed just one play to score as Kuhlman scored on a six yard run.

Pemberville's offense came right back with their best drive of the night as they went 53 yards in 14 plays before settling for a 22 yard field goal by Taylor Depew.

O-G came right back with a two play, 60 yard drive as Kahle found a seam on the left side of the field and went 58 yards for a score. Kahle them found Matt Peck with a two-point conversion pass and the Titans were up 27-3.

O-G ended the first half scoring as Robbie Giesken caught a pass from Kahle and went 54 yards for a score making the halftime score.

Ottawa-Glandorf added to their lead right away in the second half as they went 72 yards in eight plays as Kahle scored on a 20 yard run.

The Titans final score came on their next possession as they went 58 yards in four plays as Kahle found another seam in the Eagle defense and went 45 yards for a score.

The rest was up to the Titan defense as the Eagles offense was frustrated by the hard hitting Titans all night long. Pemberville put together another 14 play drive that resulted in a punt at the O-G 38.

The Titans second team unit played most of the fourth quarter.
