PUTNAM COUNTY — With the goal of staying true to the holiday of Thanksgiving, the team at Mercy Health – Putnam Medical Center recently celebrated a, “Night to be Thankful.” Medical professionals and support staff enjoyed a relaxing evening of giving thanks while raising money for cancer research.

The team donated food and raffle items with all proceeds benefiting the Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Relay for Life team. The evening consisted of participants sharing why they were thankful and how they have been blessed. A special thanks to local wineries, including Sycamore Lake Winery, Hillside Winery, and Cavern Club Winery, that have helped us continue to grow this event.

A Night to be Thankful has become an annual event and proceeds are now divided between the Relay for Life and our local Cancer Assistance Program. Since the event’s origins in 2012, the Mercy Health - Putnam Medical Center employees have raised more than $19,500 as part of this annual day of giving.
