PUTNAM COUNTY — A lively and hungry looking crowd arrived early last Friday for the launch of Fore 1 Tavern and Moose Landing Country Club (formerly Country Acres). Attendees enjoyed pop, beer, and cocktails while taking-in new design changes, and checking out the club’s two new golf simulators. The simulators are already proving popular, as booth were reserved by current club members for most of the night.

Fore 1 Tavern, operating inside the clubhouse, debuted its new menu by Chef Brandon Saurer. Those who worked up an appetite on the golf simulators were invited to enjoy a variety of tasty items, both familiar and innovative. As just one example, joining a traditional rib-eye dinner and a dozen different burger options is ‘Putnam County Taquitos,’ a wrap consisting of a half pound of bologna, fried, then drizzled with American cheese sauce and sweet bbq.

With the new golf simulators in place and Fore 1 Tavern open for business, Moose Landing is ready for year-round entertainment. Weekly hours are 4-10 p.m., with food service starting at 10 a.m. on Saturdays, and 9 a.m. on Sundays. On Friday and Saturday evenings the bar remains open until 2:30 a.m.
