PUTNAM COUNTY — The 2019 Putnam County Senior Expo will again be held at Ottawa Elementary, 123 Putnam Parkway, Ottawa on Friday, August 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The annual event gathers together local government agencies, area service organizations and non-profits, and private businesses geared towards helping seniors live their best lives. The expo offers a convenient way for seniors and members of their family to gather information and learn from experts on issues faced by our older residents in their day-to-day lives, as well as those that may emerge in the near future.

The free event features health screenings, medication disposal, chair massages a shuttle service to and from nearby parking, a number of exhibitors showcasing a wide range of services, door prizes, and a complimentary lunch beginning at 11 a.m that includes entertainment by Country Gentleman. Before then, at 9 a.m. there will also be a presentation by nationally recognized motivational speaker David Austin-Sky on “Gladness in the Now – Celebrating What We Do.” This will be followed by a Tai Chi presentation by Angie Brinkman with PT Services at 10:15 a.m.
