Rachel R. Bohrer, Fort Jennings, was granted a divorce from Jesse J. Bohrer, Ottawa. They were married Oct. 5, 2013 and have one child.

July 9

Brian O. Rippetoe, 40, Continental, pleaded guilty to trafficking in drugs (methamphetamine). He faces up to 18 months in prison and $5,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted. Sentencing was set for July 29 at 4 p.m. The state is recommending restitution of $150 to the MAN unit. A second count was dismissed.

Sebastian L. Hernandez, 24, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs (fentanyl). He faces up to 12 months in prison and $2,500 in fines., Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted. Sentencing was set for Aug. 8 at 9 a.m. A motion for treatment of lieu of conviction was denied.

Melanie Stokes, Ottawa, was appointed as a trustee for the Putnam County Free Public Library for a term to expire Dec. 31, 2019. The Common Pleas Court Judge appoints three of the seven members of the board of trustees per Ohio Revised Code.

July 11

Adan Vasquez, 33, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to improper handling of firearm in motor vehicle and OVI. He faces up to 18 months and prison and six months jail, and $6,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted. Sentencing was set for Aug. 19 at 2:30 p.m. Charges of receiving stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia and open container were dismissed.

July 12

Jessica L. McClure, 25, Lima, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and four counts endangering children. Sentencing was set for 9 a.m. Aug. 15. McClure was charged in connection to the death of her young son. According to Putnam County Sheriff’s Office reports, at approximately 5 p.m. Nov. 7, 2018, the sheriff’s office responded to a 911 call claiming an unresponsive child was found at 23090 Road Q, Lot L, in Fort Jennings. The Ottoville EMS and law enforcement was dispatched to that location, and a child was transported to the Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center where he was pronounced dead. She was also accused of endangering three of the victim’s siblings.
