Jeremy L. Lindeman, 37, Haviland, pleaded guilty to trafficking in drugs (methamphetamine). He faces up to 18 months in prison and $5,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted. Sentencing was scheduled for Aug. 1 at 3 p.m. A charge of aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamines) was dismissed.

June 25

Nicholas T. Huizenga, 30, Dupont, was sentenced to 24 months in prison for violating the terms of supervision. The violations include violating a protection order. He was given credit for 180 days served. He had been convicted of violating a protection order.

Kristy Sudlow, Ottawa, and Jeremy Sudlow, Leipsic, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married Feb. 16, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nev., and have no children.

June 26

Dana N. Frazier, Ottoville, and Michael K. Frazier, II, Ottoville, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married in Columbus Grove and have three children.

Jill S. Welch, Ottawa, was granted a divorce from Scott E. Welch, Ottawa. They were married Aug. 19, 2000 in Ottawa and have four children.

June 27

Kyle B. Brown, 28, Perrysburg, was sentenced to 15 days jail for violating the terms of supervision. The violations included testing positive for marijuana. He was placed on five years community control and fined $1,000. He must obtain and maintain employment, not have any medical marijuana prescription card and must complete any counseling and treatment recommended.

According to court records, Brown was driving a 2009 Nissan westbound on County Road D near County Road 12 in Liberty Township on July 27, 2017 when he came upon a couple and their son who were riding on bicycles. Brown’s vehicle struck the woman and her son. The woman was transported to the hospital by the Continental EMS while the child was life flighted, accompanied by the father, to St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Toledo. According to court records, Brown told police he was driving in the sun which contributed to the cause of the accident. The victims told police they had moved over as far as they could due to a bridge to avoid an accident.

Court records cite officers smelled burnt marijuana following the crash. Brown was indicted on charges of aggravated vehicular assault, operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs. On June 26, 2018, Brown pleaded guilty to an amended charge of attempted aggravated vehicular assault. Putnam County Common Pleas Court Judge Keith Schierloh granted a motion for treatment in lieu of conviction and ordered Brown to setup treatment through Pathways Counseling Center.

June 28

An August jury trial was scheduled for Michael T. Huizenga, 52, Continental, charged with seven counts rape, and four counts of gross sexual imposition. Following a pre-trial, the court scheduled a three-day trial to begin at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 26.

Huizenga is accused of having sexual contact with a juvenile, less than 13 years of age, every year since 2013 in Putnam County. The year of birth of the alleged victim is 2009.
