Brian Earles, Jr., 34, London, pleaded guilty to nonsupport. He faces up to 12 months in prison and $2,500 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 1 p.m. Nov. 14.

Sept. 23

Joshua P. Armey, Continental, and Jaime J. Armey, Continental, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married July 18, 1998 in Cloverdale and have five minor children.

Sept. 27

Isaiah A. Oliver, 18, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery. He faces up to 11 years in prison and $20,000 fine. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 10:30 a.m. Oct. 31. Charges of theft and possession of criminal tools as well as a specification were dismissed.

According to reports of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, an armed robbery occurred in Leipsic the early hours of July 27. The victim reported the suspect held them down at gunpoint with a handgun and had taken cash and their cell phone. While officers were gathering information from the victim, another officer reported there were two other victims who claimed they were robbed at gunpoint by the same suspect and had their cellphones taken. Through the investigation, detectives were able to present a photo lineup that included Oliver. The victims were able to point out Oliver as the one who robbed them.

Jennifer E. Smith, 23, Ottawa, was sentenced to 40 days jail for violating the terms of supervision. The violations included failing to report to her supervising officer, abide by curfew, reside at the address of record, getting permission to move and failing to make payments on her account. She was given credit for 34 days served and was placed on five years community control. She must obtain and maintain employment and successfully complete any and all counseling and treatment recommended by the probation officer. She was also ordered to pay restitution of $61.78.
