OTTAWA - At 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, emergency personnel responded to a three vehicle accident at the intersection of East Main and Moe Streets in Ottawa.

According to the officials on the scene, all three vehicles were westbound on Main Street. Ottawa Police Department officers report an Ottawa Feed and Grain Vehicle operated by Don Verhoff was stopped to make a left turn, with a second vehicle behind him. A semi hauling steel, operated by Alejandro Pantejo, Cicero, Illinois, failed to stop, striking the second vehicle and pushing it into Verhoff's.

The operator of the second vehicle, unidentified at the time of this report, was transported via ambulance for attention to what were considered non-life threatening injuries.

Assisting at the scene were the Ottawa PD, Ottawa Fire and Heavy Rescue, Ottawa and Putnam County EMS, and the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
