OHIO — Per the Ohio Dept. of Health’s daily 2 p.m. update, as of March 26 there are 867 confirmed cases in Ohio. County-specific infection rates were not included in today’s update on the Health Dept.’s website. As with yesterday’s update, Gov. DeWine tweeted additional details, including that there are now 60 counties with an infection. There are no confirmed infections in Putnam County.

Infections by county: Ashland 1, Ashtabula 3, Athens 1, Belmont 3, Butler 21, Carroll 3, Champaign 2, Clark 2, Clermont 6, Clinton 2, Columbiana 5, Coshocton 4, Crawford 1, Cuyahoga 259, Darke 1, Defiance 2, Delaware 15, Erie 3, Fairfield 6, Fayette 1, Franklin 109, Gallia 1, Geauga 7, Greene 3, Hamilton 53, Hancock 2, Highland 1, Huron 3, Jefferson 1, Knox 2, Lake 19, Licking 5, Logan 2, Lorain 44, Lucas 35, Madison 3, Mahoning 51, Marion 4, Medina 24, Mercer 1, Miami 20, Montgomery 14, Muskingum 1, Pickaway 2, Portage 8, Richland 3, Sandusky 1, Seneca 1, Stark 16, Summit 50, Trumbull 12, Tuscarawas 3, Union 3, Warren 10, Washington 1, Wayne 2, Wood 6. Additionally, the Ohio Dept. of Health reports there are now 15 deaths, with the individuals identified as residents of Columbiana (1), Cuyahoga (2), Erie (1), Franklin (2), Gallia (1), Lucas (2), Mahoning (1), Miami (1), Stark (2), and Trumbull (1) counties. The number of hospitalizations in Ohio due to COVID-19 is 223. The number of ICU admissions is 91. The age range of those infected is <1-94 with the median age of 51. Males represent 53% of infections and females represent 47%, the reverse of yesterday’s delineation.

Per the Putnam County Health Dept., if there is a positive specimen identified anywhere in the state, the health department of the county of residence would be notified so that additional follow-up can be completed. Regardless of where a person is tested, a positive result would be counted in the county of residence.
