Single vehicle fatality on Road Z

COLUMBUS GROVE — A Lima man is dead following a single vehicle accident on Sunday.

According to a release issued by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 8:21 p.m., dispatchers were alerted to a single vehicle injury accident in the yard of 13624 Road Z. The release states a vehicle, operated by Christopher L. Schick, 31, was traveling east on Road P when he failed to stop at the intersection of Roads P and Z and struck a tree.

Mr. Schick was transported via ambulance to Lima Mercy Health, where he later died of his injuries.

Assisting at the scene were the PCSO, Columbus Grove Police Department, Columbus Grove Fire Department, Columbus Grove EMS, Putnam County EMS, and Imm-Pressive Towing.
