To the Editor:

Thanks to all the great Friends of the Putnam County District Library members and non- member volunteers who worked before, during and after the Annual Used Book & Attic Treasures Sale to make it a great success.  Thanks to the Library Board, Library Director and Library employees for their work and support. Thanks to Sts. Peter and Paul Parish for the use of the 4th Street Gym.  Thanks to Kohl’s Market for suppling bags.  Thanks to all who helped advertise and promote the Book Sale.  Thanks to the volunteer truck drivers for transporting the books and items to and from the gym.  Special thanks to the Leipsic Kountry Kids 4-H club, Library Teens and the Ottawa Boy Scouts Troop 224 that helped load, unload, sort books and clean up the gym.  More students are always welcome to move books at the beginning and the end of the sale. Thanks to all the Putnam County residents for supporting the Book Sale with their donations. Last but not least, thanks to all the great customers who purchased books and other items.  All profits from this fundraiser stay in Putnam County to help provide programs and materials for all the Library locations in Putnam County.  The Friends also have an ongoing used book sale in the Café at the main Library in Ottawa all year long.  Books are still an important part of our lives!
