OTTOVILLE — Delphos St. John's used a big first inning on their way to an 8-4 non-league win over Ottoville Thursday.

The Blue Jays scored six times in the top of the first inning on their way to the win. The Big Green came back with two runs in the bottom of the inning before St. John's answered back with two runs in the third inning. Ottoville added single runs in the third and fifth innings for the final score.

Trae Schlagbaum took the loss for the Big Green (5-9) as he last only two-thirds of an inning.

Jaden Schnipke had a double and RBI for Ottoville and Josh Thorbahn had a single and RBI. Dylan Kemper had a double for the Big Green.

Kalida 8

Central Catholic 3

LIMA — Kalida used a big second inning Wednesday afternoon on their way to an 8-3 non-league win over Lima Central Catholic.

After both teams scored a run in the first inning, the Wildcats broke the game open with a five run second inning.

David Peck picked up the win for Kalida as he went 4 2/3 innings allowing an unearned run on four hits. Tyler Klausing finished the game.

Trevor Lambert had two hits and drove in three runs for the Wildcats and Gabe Hovest had two hits and two RBIs. Ethan Schmenk had two hits and an RBI.

Shaun Thomas blasted a home run for the T-Birds.

Miller City 11

Perry 2

PERRY TWP. — Miller City waited until their final at-bat to put away Lima Perry Wednesday afternoon as the Wildcats claimed an 11-2 non-league win.

With the game tied 1-1 going to the seventh, the Wildcats (11-7) erupted for 10 runs and the win.

Eli Ellerbrock picked up the win for Miller City as he allowed an unearned run on eight hits with seven strikeouts and two walks.

Connor Niese had a pair of doubles for the Wildcats and Cole Niese had three singles. Boyd Vance had two singles, while Ellerbrock, Nick Gable and TJ Michel all had a double.
