COLUMBUS GROVE - Columbus Grove scored a pair of third quarter touchdowns to rally for 24-20 Northwest Conference win over Crestview.

The Bulldogs trailed 14-10 at halftime before scoring twice in the third quarter to take the lead.

Colin Metzger gave the Bulldogs the lead with 10:38 left in the third quarter on a 70 yard run before Blake Reynolds added a 24 yard scoring run with 8:19 left in the quarter. Crestview trimmed the Grove lead to four points when Brody Brecht scored on a four yard run 56 seconds left in the quarter. A two-point run failed as neither team scored in the fourth quarter.

Brecht gave the Knights a first quarter lead as he scored on a three yard run with 4:37 left in the quarter.

Rece Verhoff got Columbus Grove on the scoreboard with 11:20 left in the first half when he kicked a 26 yard field goal. Brecht answered back with a Brecht nine yard scoring run and Reynolds scored on a five yard run for the Bulldogs with 53 seconds left in the half.

The ground game paced the Columbus Grove attack as Metzger rushed for 157 yards on 19 carries and Reynolds had 141 yards on 17 carries. Reynolds was only 4-of-12 passing for 32 yards in the game.

Brecht rushed for 137 yards on 23 carries for the Knights.
