COLUMBUS GROVE — Columbus Grove pulled away from Spencerville in the second half to claim a 56-38 Northwest Conference win Friday night.

The Bulldogs had a 28-24 halftime lead before outscoring the Bearcats 11-7 in the third quarter and finishing the game with a 17-7 fourth quarter scoring run.

Blake Reynolds paced the Bulldogs with a game high 24 points, while Tayt Birnesser and Gabe Clement both had seven points.

Luke Falke had 11 points for the Bearcats.

Columbus Grove won the junior varsity game 40-37.

Miller City 53

Continental 33

CONTINENTAL — Miller City pulled away from a first quarter deadlock to defeat Continental 53-33 in Putnam County league action Friday night.

After the Wildcats and Pirates ended the first quarter tied 13-13, Miller City took a 27-21 halftime lead. The Wildcats outscored Continental 26-12 in the second half for the win.

Luke Lammers had a double-double for the Wildcats (6-5) with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Nick Gable added nine points with five assists and T.J. Michel added nine points.

Mitch Coleman had a game high 19 points for the Pirates (1-11).

Miller City won the junior varsity game 43-24.

Kalida 42

Fort Jennings 21

FORT JENNINGS — Kalida turned in a solid defensive effort Friday night as the Wildcats topped rival Fort Jennings 42-21 in Putnam County League action.

The Wildcats held the Musketeers to 11 points through quarters as Fort Jennings scored two points in the first quarter, seven in the second and were held to two points in the third quarter.

Kalida had a 20-4 lead after the first quarter and were up 34-9 at halftime. The Wildcats struggled offensively in the second half as they were limited to eight points.

Trevor Lambert had a solid night for the Wildcat with 23 points and nine rebounds. Luke Erhart added eight points.

Nick Trentman and Zach Schulte paced the Musketeers with four points each.

Ottawa-Glandorf 62

VAN WERT — Ottawa-Glandorf survived a fourth quarter rally by Van Wert to claim a 62-54 Western Buckeye League win.

The Titans had a 51-32 lead after three quarters before the Cougars rallied in the fourth quarter to outscore O-G 22-11.

Owen Hiegel paced the Titans with a game high 23 points and Ethan White added 11 points.

Nate Place paced the Cougars with 17 points as he scored 12 points in the fourth quarter. Lawson Blackmore had 11 points and Owen Treece finished with 10 points.

Pandora-Gilboa 67

NORTH BALTIMORE — Pandora-Gilboa stayed among the top teams in the Blanchard Valley Conference Friday night with a 67-49 win over North Baltimore.

Riley Larcom paced the Rockets with 27 points and Jared Breece added 19 points.

LEIPSIC — Leipsic scored 55 points in the first half Friday night as they cruised past Vanlue 86-37 in Blanchard Valley Conference action.

The Vikings had a 23-15 lead after the first quarter before outscoring the Wildcats 32-5 in the second quarter for a 55-20 halftime lead.

Kaiden Rader and Dylan Schroeder led six Leipsic (3-2, 5-5) players in double digits with 12 points each. Tyler Hiegel added 11 points, while Jaden Siefker, Drew Liffick and Reese Mangas all had 10 points.

Leipsic won the junior varsity game 60-17.
